Do you or your staff feel stuck or confused when it comes to working with neurodivergent clients? Do you have neurodivergent therapists on your team that seem to be struggling with emotional boundaries in their work, getting documentation done, or finding work-life balance? I offer trainings and consultation in a one-on-one format or for small groups. Cost is $150/hour.

Current and Upcoming Offerings and Workshops:

Treating Neurodivergent Clients

Including: How and when to suggest formal evaluation; accommodations in session; what aspects of therapy training do and don’t work with this population; appropriate language/labels; addressing masking in and out of session.

Treating Neurodivergent Clients: Advanced

Including: More specific education on treatment goals, objectives, and interventions to be used with ND clients, particularly with ADHD and ASD diagnoses.

Preventing Burnout as a Neurodivergent Therapist

Including: Self-care strategies specific to the ND therapist; tactics to making work less taxing; addressing shame around symptoms or needs; exploring options for workplace accommodations.

This training can be tailored to NT therapists, as well, as this is an example of the “Curb Cut Effect.” Accommodation, accessibility, and increased understanding helps us all!

Working with Neurodivergent Employees, Staff, and Contractors

Including: Exploring differences in communication styles; emotionality in he workplace; reasonable accommodations; and how to increase understanding and success in work relationships

Organizational Skills for Neurodivergent Therapists

Including: How to build routines, identify and follow energetic flow, identify and incorporate sensory information into productivity, build and utilize basic spreadsheets for caseload management, business expenses, and tracking hours for license obtainment and maintenance.

Starting a Private Practice

Including: What to know about starting a private practice in terms of requirements, impact on work, steps to take in starting a private practice, aspects of business acumen, and how to incorporate seeing oneself as a business without losing the humanity of this role and work.
